Weather of France

Different region of France experience varied type of climate. The country France experiences a blend of different climatic conditions due to geography. It hardly snows, rain does occur. Western parts of Metropolitan France in general have an oceanic climate, with gentle winters, cool summers, and heavy rainfall. Internal areas in France experience a continental climate, with colder winters, and hotter summers. Southeastern parts of the country generally experience a Mediterranean climate.

France is popular for Alps Mountain which is very high. The climate in these regions is below freezing for most of the year, and it remains cover with snow for more than six months. So the best time to visit Alps would be in December.
